The modus operandi is regularly monitored by the Advisory Committee of the Central Library of the college, which comprises of the Principal as the Chairperson, the Librarian as the Convener, some teachers and Student representative. Aims & Objectives
To select, acquire, organize and utilize reading materials for the purpose of information dissemination, relevant to the aims and objectives of the college. To provide services to users for effective utilization of library resources. To encourage reading habits particularly of the student community and to make them aware of the importance of Library in career building. To provide nascent thought of the subject to the teaching community to upgrade themselves and help them to teach.

Library-Deshapran
Welcome to Central Libray, Deshapran Mahavidyalaya

Library is considered to be soul of any academic institution and plays a very important role in the field of education. Education and library are adjoined together. Specifically, academic library is aptly referred as heart and soul of any educational institution imparting legal education. Deshapran Mahavidyalaya, Central Library is the hub of all library activities established to accomplish the academic objective of the college. It is located in the second and ground floor of the Deshapran Mahavidyalaya building giving access to its rich and paramount collection of primary and secondary Legal Resources to its entire user’s community. Keeping in view of its vital role, the library is being constantly augmented by the acquisition of latest books, journals and electronic resources.

All the housekeeping activities of the library are automated with “KOHA”. The library has adopted the Dewey Decimal Classification system (19th Edition) for classifying the books and AACR –II system for cataloguing.
