Student Induction Programme :
The college conducted the Student Induction Programme on 18/07/2018 which included Orientation for Freshers to aware them about new CBCS system, various cells and committees’ introduction, University registration, various govt. and non-govt. scholarship programmes.
- Teachers’ Council secretary, Prof. Avirup Sinha, Asst. Prof. in Dept. of History explained the examination patterns, credit points, CGPA, pass percentage, attendance, internal assessment, external assessment etc. to the students by presenting a powerpoint.
- National Service Scheme Prof. Ashok Kumar Giri, SACT I in Dept. of Political Science, NSS convener conveyed about NSS services done by our college NSS students and volunteers within our campus, activities done outside campus .
- National Service Scheme Prof. Ashok Kumar Giri, SACT I in Dept. of Political Science, NSS convener, conveyed about the environment preservation and green campus in initiatives like what is environmental club and objectives, seminars and competitions conducted by the club
- Librarian, Mr. Amiya Kumar Das, mentioned the resources available in our library, about the number of books, magazines, journals, e-books, library sections etc. she also mentioned about the digital library which is situated in the golden jubilee block of our college.
- Mr. Tapan Kumar Patra, SACT II in Dept. Physical Education explained about the sports facilities available in our college, about the compulsory games, gym equipment available to the students. He also mentioned about few star achievers from our college.
- Cultural Sub-committee convenor, Prof. Notan Singh, Asst. Prof. in Dept. of Philosophy said about the importance of various cultural programmes organized in our college, like Rabindra Jayanti, Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose birth anniversary, Basanta Utsav etc. He also stated about the other services offered in our college. He also gave a small motivational speech to the students.
Faculty Development Programme:
IQAC facilitated the faculty members to participate in faculty development programme. 13 faculty members attended the Online and physical Faculty Development Programme, during this period. 8 faculty members participated in Refresher course, 8 faculty members attended Orientation course and 2 attended short term course during this academic year.
Examination System:
IQAC along with the Teachers’ Council Secretary maintain the continuous evaluation process of the students through internal assessment and final semester examinations conducted by Vidyasagar University with the focus on outcome based education.
Introduction of New courses:
In the induction classes of the new first semester students, organized by Teachers’ Council and IQAC, Teachers’ Council secretary, Prof. Avirup Sinha, Asst. Prof. in Dept. of History explained the examination patterns, credit points, CGPA, pass percentage, attendance, internal assessment, external assessment etc. to the students by presenting a power-point. Mr. Subhajeet Singha, IQAC coordinator & Asst. Prof. in Dept. of English discussed about the course structures.

Research Development :
The IQAC encourages the faculty members to advocate originality in research writing. It also promotes research activities and research publication of departments. Many faculty members actively involved in research and are publishing in Scopus, Web of science & UGC listed journals. We are ruminating over the publication of an in-house journal merely meant for student and faculty members in future, to promote good number of research articles submitted by young researchers.
Feedback Analysis :
IQAC collects the feedback for curriculum and also collected students’ feedback on academic and infrastructural facilities. Based on the feedback analysis, subject specific seminars and activities were organised. Here are some of the measures and action implemented by IQAC to facilitate the needs of the stakeholders,
- Establishing a safe drinking water facility with the help from State Govt.
- Approaching various non govt. organisation for funds to buy books and journals, like P.C. Chandra group has funded the central library to buy books and book-shelves
- Installing a sanitary napkin vending machine in girls’ toilet
- Maintenance of the playing ground against the students’ application
- Organized various departmental seminars, workshops, awareness camps, induction classes, career counselling classes, add-on courses on Bratachari and First-Aid, health check-up camps, community outreach programmes in collaboration with different departments
- Providing dustbins and e-waste disposal box
- Developing the smart class room with better sound systems
- Encouraging SC,ST,OBC Sub-committee to take welfare measures for backward community students
- Gave proposal to revive the rain-water harvesting system in college premises
- Gave proposal for installing solar lights
- Gave proposal for reconstructing the cycle stand
- Gave proposal for library up gradation
Infrastructural Facilities :
Our college campus has become WIFI campus for the benefit of students. Canteen facility, sports and auditorium supported students in positive manners. Classrooms and library are well maintained and facilitated to the need of students.
Awareness Programmes :
National Service Scheme, Career Counselling Sub-committee, Visakha Cell, Anti-ragging Sub-committees conduct awareness program for students. Seminar, workshops, Health Check-up and volunteer camps are conducted to instil institutional social responsibilities among students.
All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) :
Our college regularly submit the annual college report to AISHE. The IQAC had regular meetings with the members of each department. IQAC meetings with its internal and external members are held regularly.
